At Advent, we believe therapy is most effective when it is done in an environment that is natural and authentic to childhood. We strive to create such a space for all of our clients so that the therapy received more easily translates into the real world around them.

Our therapy takes place in a restored old house where we work hard to create a welcoming home-like environment. We sit around our kitchen table for snack time. We have “play time” in the backyard. We do crafts together, learn together, sing songs, and play. Kids interact with each other. All under the direction of certified therapists who are implementing appropriate therapeutic strategies to help each child move towards meeting their individual goals.

“Advent has been amazing with my children over the past 3 years. My son has many complex needs and has failed other therapy locations. However, at Advent they meet him where he is at. They have many techniques to help calm and regulate him and have passed them onto us so we can continue at home. Advent has been a constant in our lives and my children have made so much progress from their help.” ~ Tara W.

“I came to Trish at Advent with a history of double vision, which required a prism to correct. I had minimal expectations for things to improve, but agreed to undergo therapy. I was very suprised and pleased when I first was able to “pull together” the two visions into one clear picture. Since then, it is getting easier to keep a sharp, single vision even without my glasses. To date, I am continuing with the exercises, and still making improvements. Thank you Trish for all your expertise and going outside the box when needed.” ~ Amy P.
