Advent Therapy - Feeding & Lactation

Feeding and Lactation

A feeding therapist is uniquely trained to evaluate all aspects of a child’s feeding or feeding avoidance and can help parents find a path through these often overwhelming situations.

When an infant or child simply refuses to eat or becomes extremely (and sometimes dangerously) picky, parents are often left feeling frustrated at best. Conventional wisdom, such as, “he’ll eat when he’s hungry” may cause even more stress. Our experienced feeding team reviews all angles of your child’s eating experience and works to help you get to the root of the problem.

Your child’s licensed feeding team may include any of the following:

  • Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Registered Dietitian (RD)
  • Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC)
  • Applied Behavior Therapist (ABA therapist)
